This event is part of our National Heritage Week and will bring a group on a two hour, gentle journey on the canals of Kildare. This historic boat was almost lost to history, but was recently beautifully restored thanks to a dedicated community project and now serves the community in a number of ways. With a short sail up the canals, we will take in some sights and scenes, with some shared stories along the way to help you understand the people and the place!

We will be curating in advance some community members to share their stories of the region their knowledge of the landscape we will be sailing through, and the history of the boat. If you would like to contribute a story, please contact us on jane@craiclystories.com.

Light food will be available. Meet at the Robertstown Grand Hotel (closed), Robertstown Village. Prior booking essential.

There is no charge, but modest cash donations are always welcome on the boat and go directly towards the upkeep of this wonderful vessel.
