CRAICLY is coming to Dublin town, and celebrating an evening of Hallowe'en ghost stories in one of the most beautiful and historic spaces in the city - The James Joyce room in Bewley’s, Grafton Street.
Prepare for an evening of Irish folklore, spiritual experiences and ghostly tales. After the cafe closes, we will have exclusive use of this historical room and building to share supper, and hear a variety of people share their knowledge, stories and personal experiences with visitors from the other realm.
The James Joyce Room
Bewley’s, Grafton Street is a landmark and cultural, community and culinary pillar in Irish history. This building hosts world famous Harry Clarke stained glass windows, atmospheric spaces, fireplaces and overlooks the most famous shopping street in Dublin!
Our evening will commence once the main cafe has ended. The candles will be lit, the bar opened and a simple, warm, traditional style 1-course supper will be served in advance of our storytelling.
Ireland has a unique relationship with Hallowe'en, Samhain and we can't wait to enjoy the many, rich stories of our ancient traditions, stories and brushings with and sightings of those energies in our adjacent realms.
This is also the beginning of an exciting and creative collaboration between CRAICLY & Bewley's and in this historic and welcoming room is the perfect menu to join a friendly, atmospheric session including supper and stories. The legions of literary greats to have written,spoken, dreamed and laughed here is a legacy we wish to continue - let's fill the walls with stories that we are going to share together.
PS - If you've been wiating all year to get your Hallowe'en on - then feel free to dress in whatever wonderful, magical, ghostly outfits you feel most comfortable in!
