Sunday afternoons on the farm through July.
What to Expect
A series of Sunday gatherings at Derrymullen Farm, the homeplace of CRAICLY STORIES.
Hosted by Jane Gormley, CRAICLY founder, these Sunday gatherings will bring you on a gentle, guided walk within the farm to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Followed by a unpressurised memoir writing session in the straw sheds followed by (optional) story sharing together over a light lunch, coffee and cake.
Best enjoyed as a series of four July Sunday sessions to build practice, confidence and ease.
Pricing - 200 Euro for 4 sessions.
❋ Friendly EnvironmentThe CRAICLY community is friendly, inclusive and celebratory of story exchanges within the community.
❋ Natural SurroundingsThis is an organic farm environment, a combination of cattle and forestry. Far from the roads, and with lots of internal farm lanes to enjoy.
❋ Writing PracticeWe will be enjoying the place, the company and the inspiration that comes from hearing stories from the farm, people and place and purpose to help enjoy your own memoir writing.
❋ A Supportive SpaceSharing your story over a casual, sociable light lunch is encouraged, but not forced. We all enjoy telling and hearing stories, and this is ultimately what these four sessions are built to encourage.
What to expect
Arrive & Meet
We will gather in the main farm yard, where the sheds are used as a space in the Summer months. Parking in yard, and fields.
Check-In10:45 am
Farm Walk
Gentle internal walk ( wear sensible boots!)
11:00 - 12:00 noon
Writing 12 - 2pm
This will be aided by memory / observational prompts from the walk
Light lunch / Refreshments 2:15- 3pm
Plus… (optional) sharing of stories!
Session Closes 3 / 3:15pm
