“The Messages” - Stories of our local shops! (County Clare location, locations and tickets will be released soon)

CRAICLY STORIES wants to send an evening of love, support and congratulations to our local shops all over the country who support and provide our local communities. Rural and Urban, it’s the shop on the corner that is the brightly lit heartbeat for many a family.

We are going to do a surprise pop up in a local shop that spends the year providing neighbours with milk, dinner, butter, emergency batteries on Christmas morning and open early on workdays to provide a coffee for your work commute. There’s a notice board. They allow credit. They sell fuel for your fire. They know your name. There’s actually also a funeral parlour. They’ve thought of everything.

Some local shops, like the one we are going to visit, have put a few tables in the corner for you to take a seat and have a chat with your neighbour. They’re accommodating, friendly and thoughtful. Some are also a Post Office! They might also go a little all-out and expand their wine list and have fancy crackers and cheese for you to treat yourself with. they serve tea. They serve coffee. The know your name. And your Mam’s name.

Imagine life without them.

And imagine the amount of money the country is going to be spending on Black Friday Deals in global, multinational brands on the day and evening of Friday November 28th. Well, we won’t be! We will be comfortable and having the craic in our chosen location that evening and listening to winning stories of “My Local Shop”.

**If you have a shop and would like to host one, let us know and we will help you do that.
